I had the opportunity to take a peek at the upcoming "Yuletide at Devon" event on Monday night. What a transformation from a Horse show venue to a Holiday entertainment/shopping wonderland. 

The initial impression when you walk in will take your breath away.

The stage in the Dixon Oval is all set up for the musicians. The footing in the ring has been covered with white Astroturf. There are bench seats, groups of adirondack chairs with propane firepit areas. Propane heaters are abundantly located throughout the whole venue. Christmas trees are delightfully decorated with white and colored lighting. 

 Two large colorful Nutcracker Soldiers, right out of a scene from Babes in Toyland, greet you as you enter the Dixon Oval "Where Champions meet".

The Enchanted Forest is located in the Wheeler ring. Walk through, get lost only to find Santa waiting to greet you in his cozy specially built chalet filled with antique toys and a list of names of children who have been naughty and nice.

Amusement rides feature taking a spin on the Himalaya, finding a way through the Monkey Maze, slowly gallop along on the Musical Merry go round and last but not least taking in a breathtaking view of the Main Line from a top the 65' high Ferris Wheel (this is much larger than the one that is usually at the Horse Show).

Shopping...oh my. The selection of boutiques will surely help you in your search for getting that special friend or loved one the perfect gift. Wayne Art Center has affordable special pieces of art created by local artisans. 

Jolla Design Co is a boutique from Lancaster. Their clothing is affordably priced with a comfortably created design.   BDevoted has custom jewelry and clothing whose mantra is "Enjoy being an individual and WEAR WHAT LOOKS LIKE YOU" . Grace Winery based out of Glen Mills will have their featured red wines. Be sure                                                           to taste the spiced warm red wine. 

Food...there will be Food Trucks located throughout the venue.

These were just a few of the vendors that I was able to stop in and visit..there will be so many more. 

The event officially opens up November 24 and will run through Dec 31..what a great way to bring in the New Year. Tickets are only available to purchase online.  https://www.yuletidedevon.com/products/admission-ticket. 

Dates: that the event will be open: Nov 24-26, 29, 30Dec 1-3, 6-10, 13-23, 27-31

Hours: Wed - Friday: 3pm until 10pm.   Sat & Sun: 12pm until 10pm

An entry ticket allows entrance to Yuletide at Devon, access to all live music events, unlimited free rides on the 65ft Ferris Wheel, Carousel and Himalaya ride, and access to all festival attractions including Kringles Whisky Bar (21+) and Bergy's Brauhaus (21+).
